Ariana Grande has finally addressed the trolls who criticized her “Glinda” voice.

On July 9, she performed at Evan Ross Katz’ Shut up, Evan Podcast to shut down the haters.

The Evil The star spoke openly for the first time about her viral clip, in which she can be seen changing her voice from a low to a high register.

Ariana explained: “It’s a normal thing that people do.”

She also stressed that her male co-stars are treated differently than her.

Ariana explained, “I mean, you see male actors… Always afterward, they think, ‘Oh wow, how dedicated he was to his craft! What an incredible transformation! He’s a brilliant performer!’ And then, God forbid, I sneeze like Glinda or something, or if I do an accent… then I’m just crazy or ‘Should someone be checking on her?’ It’s the weirdest thing.”

While filming her upcoming movie with co-star Cynthia Erivo, the pop artist confessed that she has been working on her voice.

Ariana spent time “training her voice to do different things.”

Her highly anticipated film Evil will be released on November 22, 2024.
