Monday, 24 June, marks the second anniversary Dobbs vs JacksonTo date, abortion is completely banned in 14 US states, and 27 states have bans based on the length of pregnancy.

To mark this moment, groups of reproductive rights activists and allies are gathering across the country to demand abortion and access to other forms of reproductive health. Anchor actions are taking place in Albany, NY; Orlando, Florida; Phoenix, Arizona; and Washington, DC. Some events are taking place this weekend, others on Monday.

The Women’s March also calls on women to strike for their rights on Monday and not to work or spend money. “On the second anniversary of the repeal of the Roe v. WadeGirls, women and allies are striking. Participants are not going to work, not going to school and/or not spending a dime. With our privacy, our bodily autonomy, our health care and our rights to travel taken away from us, we are walking away en masse for a day. We stand together for all Americans to show that the nation needs us.” Register for the strike here.
