Odell Beckham Jr. and Kordell Beckham’s Family Guide

Odell Beckham Jr. is the older brother of four siblings – including Love Island USA star Cordell Beckham.

Beckham Jr. was born in 1992 to parents Heather Van Norman And Odell Beckham Sr.who later separated. Van Norman married Derrick Mills and had his daughter Jasmyne in 2002. Beckham Sr., in turn, had three children of his own: Kordell, Sonny and Summer, who were born in 2002, 2014 and 2018 respectively.

While Beckham Jr. became an NFL star receiver who currently plays for the Miami Dolphins, his brother Kordell Love Island USA Season 6 in June 2024.

Although Beckham Jr. has not yet commented on Kordell’s reality TV fame, Kordell’s Love Island Co-Star Connor Newsum said that Kordell doesn’t like the “fangirl-like tension” that comes with talking about his older brother.

Heather Van Norman

Before becoming a mother, Van Norman was a track and field athlete, competing in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona as a member of the 4×100 meter relay team. Currently, Van Norman is a Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) ambassador for the NFLPA and the NFL.

In the 2018 documentary series I am more: OBJBeckham Jr. said he was a “mama’s boy.”

“My mother worked very, very hard to provide everything for me,” he explained. “(She) put me in the best situation and made sure I was always taken care of and loved. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my mother smile… I just want to make my mom proud.”

Before becoming a father, Beckham Sr. played football at Louisiana State University and was a professional in the Canadian Football League. After his football career ended, Beckham Sr. became CEO of Odell Beckham Brands, a line of grooming products for men.

Beckham Sr. has been incredibly supportive of his son throughout his football career.

“Something like this has never happened in my family,” Beckham Sr. said in a 2014 interview with The Marshall News Messenger before his son was drafted into the NFL. “The chain is broken and I’m absolutely thrilled. That’s what I want as a parent. Parents always want their children to have more, to go further and to get better.”

Jasmine Mills

Van Norman and Derek had their daughter Jasmyne in 2002. According to her Linkedin page, Jasmyne graduated from Arizona State University in May 2024.

“It’s so bittersweet to say that I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with a minor in Business Administration from Arizona State University!! I am incredibly grateful for ASU; the true epitome of the college experience,” she wrote in a Linkedin post at the time. “I am so grateful for all the amazing people I have met along this journey. Here’s to ASU and the exciting next chapter ahead! I am forever proud to be a Sun Devil, forks up!!”

Sonny Odell Beckham

Beckham Sr. welcomed Sonny in 2014. Sonny continues to support his two older brothers: Odell and Kordell.

In June 2024, Sonny published a Love Island USA Advertising poster with the headline “Season 6 Love Island! Go Bubba Kordell!!”

According to his Instagram, Sonny has also attended a lot of Odell’s games.

“I’m so blessed to be here today. I got to see Bubba score that touchdown and be with him on his birthday. Truly blessed,” Sonny wrote on Instagram in November 2023. “I couldn’t ask for a better day. Now it’s time for a nap.”

Summer Odalis Beckham

Beckham Sr. had his daughter Summer in 2018. Summer was born four years before Odell’s first son Zydn in February 2022.

Odell and his ex-girlfriend Lauren Wood had their son Zydn in February 2022.

“I knew for a long time that I would become a father because I love children so much. They are close to my heart,” said Odell People in an interview in October 2022. “It was the greatest blessing of my life. I always knew it would be that way, but when I actually held him in my arms, it was a completely different feeling.”
