Lakeside Women’s Club welcomes local author Emilia Rosa to Friday Book Reviews

The Lakeside Women’s Club welcomes author Emilia Rosa to its Friday Book Reviews event on Friday, July 12 at 1:30 p.m. The event will be held at Green Gables, 161 Walnut Ave. in Lakeside. The event will include a slide presentation of the author’s works. Signed copies of the books will be available for purchase. Cash only will be accepted.

Emilia Rosa grew up in Brazil and lived for many years in Rio de Janeiro. She studied French, Spanish, English and Italian. She worked at international fairs in several languages ​​and as a model in Brazil, Italy and the USA. Emilia has won poetry contests in libraries and her poems have been published in poetry anthologies. She is a member of the Northern Ohio Writers Guild.

Rosa’s novel FINDING CRISTINA and its sequel are set in 1920s Rio de Janeiro. The third sequel takes readers to her family’s roots, the southernmost state of Brazil.
