Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store coming to Belmont County

Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store coming to Belmont County

BELMONT COUNTY, OHIO (WTRF) – A new state-of-the-art truck rest area is being built at the Belmont Morristown exit of I-70 at Route 149.

The Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store will have two restaurants – Godfather’s Pizza and Hardee’s.
There will be a full tire shop as well as gasoline and diesel.

The building will be 1500 square meters and the entire facility will span dozens of acres on a site that was formerly a golf course, across from Pilot Plaza.

“There are amenities planned like a dog park, there will be camping for travelers who are traveling in RVs. So it’s going to be quite a facility. A somewhat unique facility when you think of truck rest stops. It won’t just be for semi-trucks, but it’s just going to be a great addition and a great investment in Belmont County.”

Larry Merry – Executive Director, Belmont County Port Authority

“So this new rest area offers tourists the opportunity to get off the interstate, get gas and maybe check out other things in the area, like Barkcamp State Camp just down the road or the Underground Railroad Museum in the opposite direction.”

Jackee Pugh – Executive Director, Belmont County Tourism Council

Port Authority Director Larry Merry said he had been told the project was on the fast track and could be operational early this year.

He says Love’s is an Oklahoma-based family-owned business with over 630 stores in 42 states.
