NBC announces fall premiere dates, including “One Chicago” and “Law & Order”

NBC is extending its fall premieres from late September to mid-November, kicking off with the two-hour return of “The Voice” (with new coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé) and the premiere of Zachary Quinto’s new drama “Brilliant Minds” on Monday, September 23.

This “premiere week” schedule also includes new seasons of #OneChicago hits “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” and “Chicago PD” on Wednesday, September 25.

Other series return the following week: The new season of “The Irrational” starts on Tuesday, October 2nd, and the Thursday night schedule of “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Found” returns on October 4th.

NBC is saving the laughs for later in the fall, as new sitcom “Happy’s Place” starring Reba McEntire premieres Friday, October 18, coinciding with the return of “Lopez vs. Lopez,” and then newcomer “St. Denis Medical” kicks off back-to-back seasons on Tuesday, November 12. Rounding out the fall premieres is the new season of “Night Court” on Tuesday, November 19.

NBC’s comedy series will debut this fall season on Friday, October 18, with the premiere of “Happy’s Place” starring Reba McEntire at 8 p.m., immediately followed by the start of the third season of “Lopez vs. Lopez” at 8:30 p.m.

Football returns at the end of August and beginning of September, with “Big Ten Saturday Night” on August 31st and “NBC Sunday Night Football” starting September 5th.

Shows already announced for the midseason and/or summer include “The Hunting Party,” “Deal or No Deal Island,” “The Americas,” and “Destination X.”
