There are just some of those catchy, nostalgic songs that make you smile and think of those lazy summer days. One of those songs is “It’s a Sunshine Day” from the cult series Three girls and three boysNow the 90s group Smash Mouth is teaming up with Brady Bunch Star Barry Williams (the original Greg Brady) is releasing a cover of the song. The release is scheduled for July 12, 2024.

Paul DeLisle, the original member of Smash Mouth, spoke about their decision to record the song: “From the shared verses to Bobby Brady’s psychedelic bridge, this is THE best Brady Bunch song in the second best Brady Bunch episode of all time (the best being when Greg is surfing in Hawaii). In our version, when Barry Williams comes in on the second verse… my spirits soar and I just want to JUMP UP AND SCREAM!! I love it so much. Barry Williams is the BEST and I am the biggest Brady fan in the world. What a thrill and a huge honor.”

Williams added: “I was a fan of Smash Mouth before they had any hits. They were in my song rotation from the beginning. Getting to know the guys made it that much better. Talent and style make them timeless. I’m very happy to be involved. When Paul asked me if I wanted to be on this track, I said yes straight away. Thanks to the band, finally, finally… SUNSHINE DAY is cool!”
