Filming for The Thursday Murder Club is currently in production, written and directed by Columbus. Producers are Jennifer Todd and Chris Columbus. Executive producers are Holly Bario, Jeb Brody, Eleanor Columbus and Jo Burn. The novel’s author, Richard Osman, previously described the film’s cast as “the biggest British cast since (Harry Potter) movies,” and it looks like he was right.

The Thursday Murder Club could start a new crime series

Crime dramas have become increasingly popular in recent years, as true crime podcasts have reached an all-time high.
