HFTP launches Clubs-Online, offering exclusive content for the club industry to support management decisions

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) is expanding its news and information distribution reach with the launch of Clubs-Online™, a newsletter for club professionals. The newsletter, available to HFTP members and subscribers, features exclusive content from industry experts and is aimed at club professionals, owners and board members on finance and technology issues.

“HFTP’s mission is to advance the technology and finance knowledge and performance of hospitality professionals worldwide by creating standards and forums for innovation, learning, networking and belonging,” said Stephanie Anderson, CHAE, CPA, CGMA, CFO of River Bend Golf & Country Club, HFTP Global President 2024. “Using HFTP’s global resources, we plan to expand the club network and share best practices regardless of their location.”

Over the last year, HFTP has been researching the industry globally to determine what a not-for-profit professional association should offer the industry. The conclusion is that the industry needs support in the areas of finance, technology and industry best practices. HFTP’s global board has recognized this need and has planned numerous initiatives for the coming year, including the publication of resources, a new event for club CFOs and new online certificate courses in club finance. HFTP also plans to develop a Code of Digital Responsibility exclusively for clubs in the fourth quarter of the year.

“Protecting clubs and club members’ digital information is becoming increasingly important and this core code will help all clubs achieve that goal,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. “The finance and technology positions within the club are more important than ever as advances in technology, AI, evolving club member needs and the need for business intelligence require up-to-date training. The complexity of today’s modern club management requires a strategic team of professionals. HFTP is doing its part to support our allied associations and their members, as well as our own, with our new initiatives.”

Making the right financial and technology decisions is essential to a club’s success. Progressive clubs understand this and require the club’s finance and technology expert to sit at the executive level to strategically drive the club forward. This evolution is driving a greater need for education and information. Creating Clubs-Online is a tool to support this transition. As a global lobby group for hospitality finance and technology, HFTP has been providing excellent resources since 1952.
