Song premiere: Many Hands – “Rosie”

Fresh from touring with Texas shoegaze band Teethe, Newcastle-upon-Tyne duo lots of hands have signed to Fire Talk Records and released a new single titled “Rosie”. The hazy, self-produced track blends indie rock and folk with ambient downtempo. Made up of Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, lots of hands is the latest entity in the slowcore renaissance that has encouraged an emerging generation of artists to experiment with distortion and heavy reverb in their bedrooms and home studios.

“I wanted to paint a picture of someone who feels connected to their place in the world and sacrifices their relationships with others to move forward peacefully,” Woodhouse says. Watch “Rosie” below.

Between her steady stream of publications since Mistake in 2020 and supporting Deerhoof and Cola on their European tours, lots of hands has built an international fanbase. Look out for more from them later this year. In the meantime, follow them on Instagram And Þjórsárden.
