4Warn Weather – New this morning: A flood warning has been issued for Washtenaw and Wayne counties, which extend north into the Thumb region. It goes into effect at 11 p.m. and lasts until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
SUNRISE: 6:06 AM
Clouds will take over today, with seasonal highs between 27 and 30 degrees. Remnants of tropical system Beryl will initially bring the possibility of scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, before widespread, at times heavy rain moves in starting this evening/Wednesday morning. If you’re going to the Detroit Tigers game, make sure it’s not postponed or rescheduled.
SUNSET: 9:11 p.m.
Rain will continue through Wednesday and end early Thursday morning. 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected across much of Southeast Michigan, with locally higher amounts of 4+ inches possible, prompting the issuance of a Flood Warning. This is a good reminder to check your sewage pumps regularly on Wednesday, as there will be a lot of rain in a short period of time. A period of above-average temperatures is expected to begin this weekend and continue into early next week, when temperatures will flirt with 90 degrees.
