The Lewis River Rotary Club, Battle Ground, recently announced that Neil Edwin Michael Butler will serve as president for the 2024-25 term.

Butler brings “extensive experience and commitment to this role,” having served as chair of the vocational training service and been involved in various club initiatives, a press release said.

Butler, DocuDriven’s president and CEO, holds a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and a master of science in management and leadership from Western Governors University, the press release said.

Butler, a Battle Ground resident, has served on the city’s Planning Commission and Park Advisory Board, helped build and maintain the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial, and is a member of the Salary Commission. In addition, he is involved in the Woodland Chamber of Commerce and is active in his church.

He and his wife of 19 years, Dannelle, have five children who attend schools in Battle Ground and Vancouver.

Butler has been an active member since joining Rotary, including helping to award scholarships, supporting the local food bank and leading community service projects, the press release said.

“I believe in the power of service and the positive change it brings to our community. As incoming president of the Lewis River Rotary, I will work to expand Rotary’s influence and continue our efforts to make Battle Ground a better place for everyone,” Butler said in the press release.

Other new club leaders include Kelly Muscarella-Park, president-elect; Kasey Olson, presidential candidate; Laurie Sundby, secretary; Phyllis Robinson, treasurer; and Robyn Fitzgerald, membership director. Jeff Lines will continue to serve as Rotary regional governor for Clark County, overseeing and coaching seven Rotary clubs.
