Love Island fans criticise ‘chaotic producers’ as Kordell confesses his love to Serena amid love triangle

Love Island USA lovebirds Kordell and Serena apparently reconciled in Monday’s episode of the reality dating competition.

During tonight’s show, Kordell and Serena had a much-needed talk after Serena’s dramatic move yesterday where she left him with the breakfast he had made for her. Serena’s anger on Sunday stemmed from Kordell making breakfast for her and Daia – another woman he was dating while he was at Casa Amor with her. Serena’s reaction to Kordell’s concern for her and Daia was kind of shocking, considering that she and Kordell weren’t an exclusive couple and that they had both been talking to different people at one point or another since Serena wanted to take it slow.

During their private conversation, Serena made it clear that her feelings for Kordell were not necessarily strong just because she preferred not to rush into a formal relationship with him.

“No matter how slow I moved, you knew how I felt about you… and I thought you felt the same,” she told Kordell when they discussed the situation with Daia. Serena’s vulnerability stirred Kordell’s emotions and allowed him to reveal his strong affection for her.

“I have these strong feelings for Serena. That’s not going to change,” Kordell said in the confessional that producers inserted in the middle of his conversation with Serena. “We built everything from day one. From day one, I always saw her. I saw something in her that made her so endearing to me.”

He revealed in the confessional that he was “really hoping he could work things out with Serena.” When producers stopped their discussion, Kordell acknowledged Serena’s feelings and admitted that he understood that she cared about him.

“I see how much you care, and I see how much I messed up,” he said. “There hasn’t been a moment when I haven’t thought about you.”

Kordell continued, “Just because I still wanted to continue with her doesn’t mean I have to. I’m trying to let you know… I want you,” revealing to Serena that he wanted her “from day one.”

On X (formerly Twitter), Love Island USA fans supported the couple’s rekindled romance and admitted they loved watching the rollercoaster ride of their relationship.

“Serena and Kordell are the most dramatic thing to happen to Love Island and I am freaking out,” wrote one person on X.

Another added: “He’s locked up now… she had to snap at him to show how much she likes him,” referring to yesterday’s incident.

Kordell choosing Serena proves to be the right decision in the eyes of many fans after the show’s producers revealed that his other lover Daia wanted his brother. Kordell’s brother happens to be NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. Apparently, Daia was just trying to get closer to Kordell to potentially get closer to Odell, which is what producers showed in this episode. Many who were happy that Daia’s apparent tactics were exposed noted that the production of Love Island USA was “chaotic” due to the way they exposed it.

“Producers are f***ing messy they made sure to use this tweet because remember at the beginning Kordell talked about how people are using him to get to his brother. Oh Daia you’re out of here!!! #loveIsland,” one wrote on X.
