Westmoreland suspect charged with teenager’s murder

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A 17-year-old from Westmoreland, Tennessee, faces murder charges in connection with the death of a teenager whose remains were found last week.

According to Hendersonville police, the suspect is charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Sumner County Detention Center.

Police said Saturday that he was arrested in connection with the death of Trinity Bostic, a 17-year-old who was reported missing in Macon County, Tennessee, on June 29.

According to police, a worker picking up roadside trash found Bostic’s remains on July 3 in a small wooded area near New Shackle Island Road in Hendersonville.

The remains were later clearly identified as those of Bostic.

Hendersonville Police believe a crime was committed in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
