Taylor Swift fans are convinced that the singer will star in the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie

It’s the crossover no one expected. Taylor Swift could enter the Marvel universe.

Although there have been rumors about the singer’s involvement in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film for some time, the Grammy winner has not yet said anything about the project. Ryan Reynolds, on the other hand, has just dropped a clear hint.

Reynolds, who stars alongside Hugh Jackman in the blockbuster, shared the hint on his social media. In his Instagram stories, Reynolds shared a picture of his character Deadpool recreating Swift’s figure Always Album cover.

In the photo, the actor and close friend of the singer can be seen recreating her pose exactly – and he even added the song “Evermore” to the post to round it all off.

It’s not the first time the filmmakers have dropped a hint, either. Just last month, social media users went wild after the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine seemingly confirmed that Lady Deadpool would be in the film. Many speculated that the role would be played by Taylor Swift or actor Blake Lively (who is also married to Reynolds).

In response to the latest teaser, Swifties were quick to express their hope of seeing the singer, who previously appeared in films such as Cats And Valentine’s Day return to the big screen.

“Taypool is becoming a reality oh my god,” wrote one hopeful fan. “If Taylor doesn’t have a cameo in the new movie I will feel VERY cheated,” added a second.

Another social media user commented, “Taylor should hopefully be featured on the damn Deadpool soundtrack with an original song,” and others speculated that Swift will play a different character, Dazzler.

Still, Reynolds’ post might be a bit funny. Like his character, he’s known for being a bit of a trickster, and Swift has maintained a close friendship with Lively and Reynolds for years, famously naming the characters in her song “Betty” after the couple’s children. She even once borrowed Reynolds’ Deadpool costume to dress up in for Halloween.

Fans will only find out whether Swift will wear the red suit again when the film hits theaters on July 26.
