Hear the a cappella cover of Whitney Houston from The Voice winner Huntley

As it turns out, The voice Season 24 winner Huntley sounds phenomenal no matter where he sings, whether on stage in front of millions of viewers or in a hotel bathroom!

On July 7, he took to Instagram to share how great he was feeling after finally being able to take a nice, hot shower following a whirlwind tour. The powerhouse singer took the opportunity to belt out a few lines from the Whitney Houston classic “I Will Always Love You.”

“This is how I feel when I find a shower that fits me along the way ❤️🛀,” he said.

Imagine if a hotel bathroom was the perfect place to showcase Huntley’s stunning vocals. Seriously, the acoustics in that room are incredible! And the fact that Houston’s iconic song is so difficult to sing makes his improvised vocal performance even more impressive.

Fans got a taste of what Huntley was up to this summer a few months ago when he delivered an impressive cover of Hozier’s “Too Sweet.”

What you should know about “I will always love you”

Houston was not the legendary artist originally responsible for creating such an epic song. While her version of “I Will Always Love You” hit No. 1 on the charts (and stayed there for months), Billboard Hot 100 as part of the soundtrack to the film The BodyguardFans have another music sensation to thank for writing the cult song: Dolly Parton!

While most people consider Houston’s 1992 ballad to be the “definitive” version of the song, Parton wrote and recorded “I Will Always Love You” in 1973 as a tribute to a mentor and former business partner with whom she was splitting up. Although Parton’s version topped the country charts, it wasn’t until Houston’s version nearly 20 years later that the song became a worldwide hit.

At the 36th Grammy Awards, Houston was able to win a lot of prize money with “I Will Always Love You.” The superstar received Grammys for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
