Susan Noles on Bradley Cooper’s love: “I was shocked”
Recently, two major Hollywood stars, Bradley Cooper and Eddie Murphy admitted to being fans of reality TV. In particular, they are both obsessed with The Golden Bachelor.
Last month, Murphy made headlines when he expressed his disappointment that Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist filed for divorce just three months after their wedding.
“I watched the shit,” said the Beverly Hills Cop star. “I thought, ‘That’s so nice, they found love in the second half of their lives. That’s a nice show. Bravo!’ Then I found out the motherfuckers broke up three months later. Same old shit.” Admit it, you read that in Eddie Murphy’s voice: “Heh-heh-heh.”
Young stars discuss fans’ reactions
Recently, two of the rising stars of The Golden Bachelor spoke to Us Weekly about fan reactions to the show. Kathy Swarts and Susan Noleswho performed Gerry and Theresa’s wedding ceremony, firmly believes that the show’s message of love and hope remains valid despite the separation.
“This show is about love,” Kathy said. “It’s about adventure, but it’s about finding love. I wish I had found love, (and) I know Susan wishes she had found love… (Overall) it’s about finding love.”
Susan couldn’t help but bring up her unexpected meeting with Cooper. Can you blame her?
“When Bradley Cooper said to me, ‘I’m your biggest fan, I’m a huge fan. I have so many questions for you,’ I was shocked,” the makeup artist recalled. “I loved every second of it. People watch this show… So many young people come up to me. I did a wedding the other day and I was surrounded by people in their twenties. They said, ‘Oh my God, I loved when you said this or did that. Are you really friends with Kathy?’ Every generation of people has watched.”
Kathy recounted a similar experience at her son’s wedding, where Susan also performed the ceremony. “At the after-party, all these people came up to us,” Kathy said. “Young people said, ‘You’ve changed our lives. We love your friendship. You’ve given us so much hope.’ To me, that’s… the highlight of the show… We give people hope so they can enjoy life and find love.”
