Emma Roberts says she lost jobs because of her famous relatives

“I can understand that I’m really mad that I got this role as someone else,” said Dylan B after dad Sean Penn She directed the 2021 drama Flag DayAt the same time, she added that as a working actress, she “was auditioning forever. I was being rejected forever.”

Referring to the fuss surrounding her brother’s lead role in a short film directed by the Spielberg daughter, Dylan stressed: “That’s the business. It’s about who you know. Always. Whether you’re Sean Penn’s son or not.”

Hopper, who made his film debut in Sean’s film The last facetold E! News in February that the conversation about the Nepo baby didn’t really affect him.

“I say, ‘If you like it, cool. If not, great,'” he explained after Devil’s Peak with mom Robin Wright. “And if you think there’s nepotism involved here, I really don’t care because I’m going to do the job as professionally as anybody else and I’m not going to come in and do it half-heartedly because I work with my father, I work with my mother.”

Working with his father, says Hopper, was the same “big nightmare” for him as for all other actors who were not related to the director.

And with each project, he added, “if I screwed up on the first day, I would be fired like everyone else. Or, if I was terrible, I would be terrible. And I was terrible.”
