As with most new and upcoming war of stars Movies and TV shows, the recently released series The Acolyte has some fans complaining online about various elements. (And that includes the use of fire in space.) While many of the viral tweets about the show initially came from so-called fans complaining and calling for review bombing, online engagement has seemingly shifted in recent weeks. Part of that is due to a shirtless scene featuring Qimir, played by The good placeis Manny Jacinto, who turned out to be the show’s mysterious and masked Sith Lord. With many calling Qimir their Kylo Ren, a video of his shirtless moment – complete with a voiceover description – has surfaced online and fans are thrilled!
The revelation in the fifth action-packed and deadly episode caused a stir, even at the official war of stars social media accounts. The accounts even posted a Manny Jacinto Thirst Trap footage of the actor training for the role. But this hilarious video with voiceover now seems to have caught fans’ attention. In the clip, Qimir is seen stripping down to possibly take a dip in the open water while Osha (Amandla Stenberg) hides behind a rock and watches. The sexual tension is palpable, but it’s the added audio description that people can’t get enough of. Watch for yourself:

It’s worth noting that detailed audio descriptions like this aren’t uncommon. They’re often provided with every new show released on streaming services, and help visually impaired viewers in the same way that subtitles help the hearing impaired. In many cases, they’re overlooked by the general public. However, it’s really hard to ignore how detailed the descriptions are in this case.
And while the scene was already being discussed online due to Manny Jacinto’s body and the hot nature of the scene, the conversation seemed to only increase after sharing this latest flirtation. Fans’ comments are hilarious, with some praising the author(s) of the detailed description or quoting their favorite lines. Meanwhile, other admirers shared their own hilarious thoughts about the clip. Here are some of the highlights:

Even the user who originally posted the clip joined in, sharing their favorite parts of the audio description, including noting that Qimir’s back was “well toned.” They also found it hilarious that the writers described the sunlight as hitting his “upper muscles” instead of saying shoulders or chest.
Although it hasn’t been shared online yet, you can expect the audio description of Qimir’s rise from the water to be just as detailed, hot, and hilarious to listen to. Of course, those who are curious can watch the scene and the rest of the show with an active Disney+ subscription.
