Jennifer Lopez looks back on an old song that may take on new meaning in her life.

The 54-year-old “Let’s Get Loud” singer celebrated the third anniversary of her song “Cambia El Paso” on Sunday, which she released in July 2021 after her split from Alex Rodriguez.

“Happy anniversary, Cambia El Paso,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing a clip from the music video.

In the song, Lopez sings in Spanish about how “he doesn’t deserve to hold her in his arms” and how “her life is better now without him.” The track also includes the lines “She stays single. Now she loves who she wants.”

Lopez’s post on the anniversary of “Cambia El Paso” comes amid speculation about the status of her marriage to Ben Affleck.

In a 2021 interview on SiriusXM, Lopez said the song was “about change” and “not being afraid to take the step.”

“Just make the move,” Lopez added. “Move forward. Do what you need to do. If something doesn’t feel right, whatever it is in your life, just make the move and dance.”

At the time, less than three months had passed since Lopez and Rodriguez called off their engagement. In a statement provided to the Today show, they said they had “realized that we are better suited to each other as friends and look forward to continuing that relationship.”

“We will continue to work together and support each other in our joint businesses and projects,” they said. “We wish each other and our children the best. Out of respect for them, we just want to thank everyone who has sent us kind words and support.”

Lopez subsequently rekindled her relationship with Affleck and the two married in 2022. She did not address speculation about marital tensions, but caused a stir in May when she attended the premiere of her film “Atlas” without Affleck. Her co-star Simu Liu avoided the question of whether she and Affleck were getting a divorce during an event for the film.

“You know better,” Lopez told the reporter.

In June, Lopez commented on “negativity” on the Internet in the wake of marriage rumors and the cancellation of her tour.

“It may seem like there is a lot of negativity in the world right now… but don’t let the voices of a few drown out the fact that there is soooo much love out there,” she wrote in her newsletter.
