Insights into Kym Marsh’s love life before her new boyfriend Samuel Thomas

Kym Marsh confirmed over the weekend that she is dating her musical co-star Samuel Thomas.

Just months after separating from her husband and Army Major Scott Ratcliff, Kym has broadened her horizons.

The actress announced her new love with a loved-up snap of herself smooching her 29-year-old boyfriend Samuel. But who does Kym have her three children with and who has stolen the popular star’s heart in the past?

Kym took to Instagram on Sunday, July 7 to post a snap of herself smooching with new boyfriend and fellow stage star Samuel. Making it clear that the pair are Instagram official, she gushed in the caption: “Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #gorgeous #soulmate #loveyou.”

Samuel simply stated in the comments: “I love you.”

Kym’s new romance comes just a year after reports claimed she was on the verge of divorcing her former partner Scott.

A source told The Sun of their split: “They both really tried to make it work but the cracks had been there for some time and they could only see each other one or two days a week at most. Kym was so busy and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were packed, on top of midweek rehearsals.

“Lately she’s been filming everywhere and rehearsing for a new theater production.”

Kym met her third husband, soldier Scott, in 2018 and the couple got engaged in 2021. They then tied the knot in a luxurious ceremony in 2021, with a star-studded guest list as well as friends and family. Unfortunately, the former couple separated in 2023.

In April 2014, Kym began dating personal trainer Dan Hooper. After a whirlwind romance, the couple got engaged in December before splitting in 2015.

Before her romance with Dan, Kym dated her Corrie co-star Oliver Mellor. The two began dating in 2013. After their split, Oliver told The Mirror: “We were planning a future together.

“We loved each other and weren’t afraid to say it. We didn’t mean to, but we couldn’t suppress our feelings.”

The couple eventually separated and Oliver has been married to lingerie model Rhian Sugden since 2018.

Before her new relationship, Kym was married to actor Jamie Lomas from 2012 to 2014. The couple have 13-year-old daughter Polly.

The two had been together since 2008 and Kym became pregnant in 2009. Unfortunately, she went into labor in the 21st week of her pregnancy. Her son Archie died a few minutes after his birth in February 2009.

The couple later welcomed their daughter Polly in 2011. They married in 2012 but separated in 2013 and divorced in 2014. The divorce was due to “unreasonable conduct”.

Kym was previously married to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder, who played Jamie Mitchell, whom she met in 2001.

The couple married in August 2002 at St Albans Parish Church in Hertford. They reportedly sold their wedding photographs to OK! magazine for a whopping £300,000. Kym and Jack divorced in August 2009.

Kym’s first husband, Dave Cunliffe, was a construction worker; she met him in a pub in her home town in 1994. The couple had two children, David and Emilie.

Kym was 18 when she had her first child, David.

Although the couple actually wanted to get married, they separated in 1999, just one year after the birth of their daughter Emilie.
