2024 Rolling Loud Europe took place in Austria over the weekend, with Ice Spice one of the many artists who performed on Sunday (July 7). Although she performed fan favorites like “Barbie World” and “Gangsta Boo,” some attendees objected to the musician performing her Taylor Swift collaboration “Karma (Remix)” live.

The New York rapper was in the middle of her set when the song started playing, which drew boos and thumbs-down gestures from festival-goers. Thankfully, she didn’t react to the backlash in a confrontational way and simply blew the crowd a kiss.

Shortly thereafter Footage After the incident went viral online, Swifties rallied behind the “Deli” singer. One Twitter user asked, “Why even go to an Ice Spice show if you don’t want to hear Taylor? Know she’s not playing over them.” Another person wrote, “Yes queen. Get out!”

Others also made valid arguments. One fan wrote, “This is what happens when you play a pop song in front of a crowd that is mostly made up of rap fans.” Ice Spice certainly seemed unfazed by the whole thing.

“Karma (Remix)” debuted in 2023 and appeared on Swift’s Midnight Night (The Til Dawn Edition)“Working with Ice Spice on ‘Karma’ was one of the most natural things,” said the pop icon Spotify before detailing how the rapper’s team contacted her. She continued, “I got her number right away and said, ‘Hey, do you want to do your version of ‘Karma,’ are you familiar with this?’ And so she dove headfirst into it.”

The duo also surprised fans with a live performance of the song during a New Jersey stop of Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in May 2023. Since then, Ice Spice has included the song in her setlists several times, including at Coachellawhere “Bad Blood” singer and NFL star Travis Kelce were spotted in the audience.
