Ornstein confirms that Arsenal have contacted the club about a possible signing

According to a report, Arsenal have contacted Wolverhampton Wanderers about the possible signing of Dan Bentley.

However, Wolves are not looking to sell unless they receive a “suitable” offer that would allow them to reinvest, as Bentley is currently a valued member of their team who is making a strong impression on and off the pitch.

Alan Nixon announced the news of Arsenal’s interest in Bentley earlier this week and reported that the player may also be interested in a move as Arsenal’s third choice.

Signing Bentley has several potential advantages: Firstly, he has experience in the Premier League.

Despite playing as a substitute for Wolves this season, he has made five appearances, including a game against Arsenal.

In addition, Bentley is a home-grown player and completed his football training at Arsenal FC.

The 30-year-old played for Arsenal as a youth player between 2001 and 2008 before moving into professional football with Southend United.

Bentley then played for then Championship teams Brentford and Bristol City before finally making the step back to the Premier League with a move to Wolves in 2023.

Whether he will return to the club of his youth depends on the outcome of possible transfer talks.
