Sai Dharam Tej condemns YouTuber’s offensive remarks about a child and calls for action

Actor Sai Dharam Tej recently came out against Telugu YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu and his fellow YouTubers for making an inappropriate joke on a child. The controversy arose when the YouTubers reacted to a video featuring a father and his daughter and made comments that contained sexual innuendo. Sai Dharam Tej condemned these remarks as “disgusting and scary”.

Reacting to the incident, Sai Dharam Tej posted a detailed message on social media, urging the Telangana government to look into the matter seriously. He also stressed the importance of parents being vigilant about the content they share online with minors.

Following widespread reactions, Praneeth Hanumantu apologised, expressed regret over the offensive remarks and requested that his family’s privacy be maintained during the ensuing uproar. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy acknowledged Sai Dharam Tej’s concerns and assured that the safety of children was the government’s top priority and the incident would be investigated.

Praneeth Hanumantu issued a public apology, admitted the mistake and edited out the controversial section from the video. He stressed his obligation as a creator to entertain responsibly, but regretted crossing a line with his content this time.
