Joe Jonas refrained from singing lyrics referring to his estranged wife Sophie Turner during a performance with his brothers Nick and Kevin at the Festival d’été de Québec on July 6.

Instead of singing the line from their 2019 song “Cool” — “Oh, I feel like Post Malone when I come home / Sitting there winning like it’s Game of Thrones,” Joe avoided mentioning the HBO series, Page Six reported.

Sophie Turner became famous for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, which she played from 2011 until the end of the series in 2019.

This isn’t the first time Joe has left out this particular lyric. He also avoided it at a concert in April, opting to leave that part of the song up to the audience.

Joe’s decision not to sing about Game of Thrones coincides with his ongoing divorce from Sophie Turner, which was confirmed by Us Weekly last year as their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” The next day, they announced their decision to end their marriage.

“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to end our marriage,” they wrote in a joint statement shared on Instagram in September 2023. “There are many speculative narratives about the reasons, but this is truly a mutual decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our desire for privacy for ourselves and our children.”
