Starring Kim Seon Ho, Cha Seung Won, and Jo Yoon Soo, action thriller The Tyrant is gearing up for its highly anticipated premiere. The upcoming series has unveiled a new, captivating teaser poster, confirming its August release.

On July 8, Disney+ Korea released a new, captivating teaser poster for the upcoming action thriller series The Tyrant. The drama, starring Kim Seon Ho, Cha Seung Won, and Jo Yoon Soo, has been confirmed to premiere on August 14.

The gripping poster has also caught the attention of enthusiastic viewers with its dark and eerie mood and provides insights into a suspenseful thriller. The series’ striking red title is enveloped in dark and mysterious blue tones on the new poster, while ominous black smoke rises from a broken sample container.

The tagline on the poster reads “The last sample has disappeared” and provides the backdrop for a thrilling plot and impending dangers revealed in “The Tyrant”.

More about The Tyrant

The Tyrant revolves around a group of people who are after the last sample of the biological weapon created in the titular program. When it is lost during delivery, the sample must be obtained to avoid further danger.

Kim Seon Ho, known from Childe, Start-Up, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and many other popular dramas, stars in this action thriller as Choi Gook Jung, a bureau chief of a government agency who unofficially oversees the Tyrant program.

Choi Seung Won, known from Our Blues, steps into the shoes of former agent Lim Sang. He is currently on a mission to get rid of people connected to this biological program. Actress Jo Yoon Soo from Juvenile Justice embodies the character of Cha Ja Gyeong, someone who infiltrated the Tyrant program with hostile intentions.

Meanwhile, Wonderful World actor Kim Kang Woo plays the role of foreign secret agent Paul. He is also against the Tyrant program and intends to dispose of the last bioweapon sample created in it.

“The Tyrant” is considered a spin-off of the anthology “The Witch” directed by Park Hoon Jung, who also directed this action thriller series.
