It’s been over a month since we said goodbye to the firefighters in Seattle. Station 19as the Grey’s Anatomy Spinoff was canceled after the seventh season. We will see Jason George returns to the medical drama as Ben Warren, it was a little heartbreaking to see the other actors like Danielle Savre devotes herself to other appearances. All hopes of saving the show were dashed when the The series finale was essentially flashed forward for the future of every firefighter, but two of Station 19The stars of revealed how close we supposedly were to the long-awaited eighth season, and now I’m completely annoyed again.
Fans were devastated when it was announced that Station 19The shortened seventh season of Petition to save the show began collecting signatures immediately. There was hope that Shonda Rhimes’ ties to Netflix could be just the lifeline the show needed, and while that never worked out, it may have been closer to reality than we all thought. Soaps.com reported that Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato had hinted at a conference that the series was almost taken over by the streaming serviceThe Carina DeLuca actress told her fans:
Danielle Savre, who played Carina’s wife Maya Bishop in the series, seemed to confirm this. She looked at Stefania Spampinato, nodded to the fans and said:
The sound you just heard was the broken hearts of Marina fans breaking in the same places over and over again. We have only just begun to come to terms with the fact that Danielle Savre has joined the cast of Foundthat was renewed for a second season on NBC, and that it unlikely that Stefania Spampinato returns Grey’s Anatomy in any meaningful capacity. Now we have to live with the knowledge that there may actually have been talks to Station 19 to Netflix?
I sob for the Marina babies we will not see grow up.
of course, if Station 19 had been chosen for an eighth season – on whatever platform – the finale we saw would have been completely different. Because showrunners Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack knew before the final season that the Series came to an endthey managed to bring each firefighter’s story to a conclusion, and I think they did that very satisfactorily.
With Grey Damons Jack Gibson has to give up fire service; Vic Hughes (Barrett Doss) and Travis Montgomery (Jay Hayden) head to Washington, DC; and Ben Warren returns to Grey Sloan to finish his residency. With that, the writers have effectively closed this chapter of the firehouse’s story.
What I mean is that the decision Station 19 The ending had to be final before the final episode could be written, so I would be very interested to know when any conversations with Shonda Rhimes and/or Netflix took place during the process.
Regardless of how close we were to seeing more of our favorite Seattle firefighters, it’s all over now. However, fans can still experience the series as many times as they want, as all seven seasons can be binge-watched with a Hulu SubscriptionAlso keep the TV schedule 2024 for Grey’s AnatomyPremiere date of season 21.
