Notre Dame Football loses grip on 4-star safety and has eyes on Michigan

Notre Dame football fans have spent the last few days above JaDon Blair’s commitmentWhen the promising 4-star safety announced that he chose the Irish over Michigan and others, it was a huge victory for the people of South Bend.

But while there is currently no joy in Mudville – also known as Ann Arbor – says recruitment analyst Steve Wiltfong believes that could changeAnd it could change to the detriment of the Golden Domers.

Wiltfong recently announced a comprehensive recruiting update on some of the top talent. Ivan Taylor, who has committed to Notre Dame, was one of those mentioned in the update, and Wiltfong believes he could soon join the Wolverines.

“The Wolverines have had Taylor on campus twice this year, including the official game in June. They appear to be the biggest threat to poach Taylor from ND,” Wiltfong wrote.

“From a Michigan perspective, I like the direction this trend is currently heading.”

From Notre Dame’s perspective, the idea that Michigan is actually making progress is more than just annoying. Especially since the last time the 4-star target was in South Bend, he announced the visit, ‘inconceivably.”

Ultimately, it’s very likely that the signing of JaDon Blair played a role in Taylor looking elsewhere. One has to assume that Michigan worked overtime to convince the West Orange safety from Winter Garden, Florida, that Blair was always the Irish’s primary target.

On the other hand, the Wolverines can now pretend they never really wanted Blair and Taylor was always their first choice.

In other words, the Notre Dame football team needs to get its affairs in order and sign Ivan Taylor as a player. And fast.
