The star of “The Book of Boba Fett” is pushing for a second season

There are currently no concrete plans for a second season of the war of stars series The book of Boba Fett. However, series star Temuera Morrison has not given up pushing for an extension behind the scenes.

During the Sydney Supernova 2024, Morrison commented on the future of The Book of Boba Fett during an interview with The RaeSide (according to Heroic Hollywood). He noted that from the beginning, co-star Ming-Na Wen was just as hopeful as he was that the show would live on beyond one season. While Morrison also said that he “nudged” Disney and Lucasfilm to go in that direction, the actor acknowledges that his efforts have not been successful so far.

Morrison has previously spoken out about the uncertain future of The Book of Boba Fett. In December 2023, he hinted that it was still up in the air whether another season of the series would be greenlit. We’re just coming out of this downtime, so I think everyone is just settling back in, and then it’s all about budgets again and what they want to do and how much the thing costs. I really don’t know, I really don’t know. Judging by the fans I’ve met, they all want a second season of Boba Fettbut I don’t know what will happen.”

Will there be a second season of “The Book of Boba Fett”?

The Book of Boba Fett was created by Jon Favreau and is a spin-off of The Mandalorian. Morrison plays the title character, while Ming-Na Wen co-stars as Fennec Shand. Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin from The Mandalorian is also shown. The series is mainly about Boba Fett and Fennec Shand as they conquer the territory on Tatooine that was once controlled by Jabba the Hutt.
