Tennessee Baseball College World Series Wednesday, June 19, new start time

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Due to impending weather conditions, changes to the men’s College World Series schedule for June 19 are necessary, the NCAA announced Tuesday.

The game between Tennessee and the winner of the Florida State/North Carolina game will now begin at 3:00 p.m. EST, one hour later than originally scheduled. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

On the other side of the bracket, the Kentucky-Florida game originally scheduled for Tuesday night will now begin at 11 a.m. EST on Wednesday. The final game scheduled for Wednesday between Texas A&M and the winner of Kentucky/Florida will begin at 7 p.m. EST.

Since Tennessee has yet to lose a game in the double-elimination format, the Volunteers could secure their spot in the College World Series final with a win on Wednesday. A loss would set up a deciding game for Thursday, June 20.

The finals begin on Saturday, June 22nd at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. The second game will be on Sunday, June 23rd at 2 p.m. on ABC and, if necessary, a third game will be on Monday, June 24th at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Tennessee’s best finish ever was in 1951, when they finished second nationally.
