Spoilers for Perfect Match Season 2, Episodes 1-9 ahead. Anyone who has watched a dating show like the Netflix hit Perfect match knows that there are both advantages and disadvantages to potentially becoming a cast member. One of the big advantages (at least for those with good intentions) is the chance to come into contact with people you probably wouldn’t meet in real life; a first-class Perfect match Example from season 2 is the self-proclaimed “most unlikely couple” Chris Hahn and Tolú Ekundare.
The Dated and related And The Trust: A Game of Greed The alumni have become one of the surprise couples of the season, alongside Alara Taneri and Stevan Ditter – but these two seem to have a particularly good chance of being declared the show’s strongest couple in the finale on June 21. Of course, fans are also wondering if their romance continued outside of the villa. Read on to find out everything we know about the couple so far.
What happened between Tolú and Chris in season 2 of “Perfect Match”?
Tolú and Chris had a long, rocky road ahead of them until they found each other on Perfect match Season 2. Tolú was one of the first actresses to enter the villa and she had little luck. She was paired with Love is blind Alumna Izzy Zapata and Perfect match Season 1 winner Dom Gabriel, but no romantic spark came in either match. Meanwhile, Chris arrived in Episode 2 and entered the house after meeting Too hot to touch Alumnus Dominique Defoe. After things didn’t work out between the two, he began a platonic relationship with his friend Elys Hutchinson.
In episode 5, everything changed when Chris bravely declared his interest in Tolú. During a game of Truth or Dare, he brought out his former stripper character Axel Stone and gave Tolú a lap dance in front of everyone, including The ultimatum‘s Jake Cunningham, whom Tolú had brought along on a date. (It’s a fair question when Chris expressed his interest, since he was likely going to be sent home that same night, but all’s fair in love and war?) Tolú appreciated the effort and decided to meet up with Chris that same night.

It only took one episode to put the new couple to the test when Chris was sent on a date with a familiar face. Dated and relateds host Melinda Berry. Chris even admitted that he had a crush on Melinda when there was a boundary between them as a cast member and host on the previous show, but the chemistry between the two was there on their date. However, Chris decided that he wanted to continue what he had with Tolú instead and told her that their relationship felt more real.
Then came the ultimate test of devotion: the gender-segregated parties. During the soirée – which gives couples the chance to chat with all the other singles while their partners are away – Tolú was innocent on Girls’ Day. Chris, on the other hand, used Boys’ Day to Xanthi Perdicomatisthat he was interested in when they were both in the house. (Remember the awkward moment when he gathered Dominique And Xanthi to tell them he was teaming up with Elys when he hadn’t even teamed up with Xanthi?) Chris admitted to Xanthi that since partnering with Tolú, he felt “guilty for not exploring more” connections. He said, “My relationship with Tolú isn’t as strong as I thought it was.”

The next day, all the singles came to the villa to chat about Boys’ Day (and theoretically Girls’ Day too), and Xanthi immediately told Tolú about Chris’ comments. When Tolú and Xanthi confronted him about it, Chris denied everything (even though it was recorded), which confused Tolú.
Tolú explained that she felt hurt by the possibility that he would consider her as his backup option. But at the end of the night, a crying Chris apologized to Tolú and told her that she shouldn’t be with him just because he was crying. A vulnerable Tolú told him that she wanted to be with someone who liked her back, and Chris insisted that his feelings for her were real. And with that, they matched up and headed into the finale a little shaky but still together.
Are Tolú and Chris still together after season 2 of “Perfect Match”?
Both Tolú and Chris remained (largely) silent about Perfect match Spoilers, but they commented on the episodes of the show as they were released. Chris shared clips of him talking about everything from his decision to set up with Elys (and the awkward conversation with Dominique and Xanthi afterward) to his and Harry’s gross discussion about their genitals earlier in the season. (We’re still trying to erase that moment from our memories.)
In a TikTok, Chris addresses claims that his interest in Tolú came out of nowhere during filming, saying that he interacted with Tolú in many shots that didn’t air (including the two regularly washing dishes together). He shares that his interest in her grew over time and that reality TV doesn’t show viewers every moment filmed (which is fair). He also had nothing but good things to say about Tolú, both in clips and in the comments.

In the meantime, Tolú has mostly been sharing funny TikTok reactions in which she relives moments from watching the show, including her failed pairings with Dom and Izzy. In a recent telling clip, Tolú has a distressed expression on her face, captioning the photo: “When you end up comforting the person who wronged you.” Although she doesn’t identify the exact moment in the post itself, she did respond to the top comment, suggesting she’s referring to Chris’ apology after the guys’ beach day.
After the commenter wrote, “When Chris was crying because he thought he was going home and you went to comfort him,” Tolú replied, “Shaking head I’m a tearjerker,” adding a facepalm emoji.

However, it’s unclear whether Chris and Tolú continued to meet after the show aired. They follow each other on Instagram and have shared content with each other since the show was filmed (including a video of a possible reunion taping), so they at least seem to be on good terms.
Chris also revealed some news about the cast after the show. According to Reddit user notyourpieceofcakee, Chris recently said in a livestream that a couple from Perfect match Season 2 is still together after the show. There’s no word yet on who it is (and there probably won’t be until the finale comes out), but the most popular guesses in the comments are Alara and Stevan – and Chris and Tolú themselves. We’ll probably see who the happy couple is after the finale on June 21.
