Ice Spice counters with trolls booing Taylor Swift’s song

You thought the crowd would understand you? Well, Ice Spice certainly hoped so. The rapper of “Gimme A Light” Millennium! World tour has had a bumpy start.

During the Open’er Festival, fans became concerned about Ice Spice’s well-being after she appeared distant on stage. Today (July 7), the artist faced a barrage of trolls at Rolling Loud Europe. When Ice Spice performed “Karma (Remix)”, her collaboration with Taylor Swift, the Austrian crowd began booing.

Ice Spice initially seemed confused by the reaction (especially given Swift’s global reach), but shortly after the crowd gave her a few thumbs down, Ice Spice responded with an air kiss.

Online users applauded Ice Spice’s action and at the same time mocked the predominantly male perpetrators.

“Men used to go to war, now they show up on the sets of Ice Spice and hate women who are so much better than them,” wrote one user.

“Imagine going to an Ice Spice show and then booing Taylor Swift when her collab comes on. What losers,” wrote another.

“TayBlessings for Ice,” another chimed in.

“I love her. Men are fucking weird,” added another.

Taylor Swift and Ice Spice’s friendship has continued to grow since their song. They were even spotted together at the 2024 Super Bowl. According to Ice Spice’s defense of Swift, they will continue to stay strong.
