Rusty Rabbit Game Reveals Gameplay Videos and English Voice for Main Character – News

NetEase Games revealed during his Anime exhibition Panel on Sunday a new gameplay trailer and Nitroplus‘ new Rusty Rabbit Side-scrolling game. Producer Yuichiro SaitoScreenwriter responsible for the original concept Gen Urobuchi (Fate zero, Madoka Magica) and main character Stamp Voice Actor Takaya Kuroda (Kazuma Kiryu in Yakuza/Like a Dragon) were present at the panel. The staff announced that Yong Yea, who is the new dubbed voice of Kazuma Kiryu in the Like a dragon series, Stamp will voice over in English. The English voiceovers will be released two weeks after the game’s initial release. ANN will post videos as they become available.

The game is a 2.5D side-scrolling single-player robot action game. During the panel, the team also revealed a gameplay video of the first boss battle against Rust Giraffe. Bosses have weak points that players can exploit with various skills and abilities. There is a level-up system using skill points. The game will feature voiceovers in Japanese and English. Supported languages ​​include English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, and German.

The team shared more details on the game’s story, which follows Stamp, a middle-aged rabbit who enjoys tinkering with junk. After humanity abandoned this planet for thousands of years following an apocalyptic ice age, rabbits have become the species that believe they have been chosen by God to rule the world. In their world, the rabbits have a religion based on the belief that Peter Rabbit Books as their writing. The rabbits go into the dungeons of the Taboo World to dig up ancient archaeological objects and treasures. Stamp lives on Smokestack Mountain, where he goes on treasure-hunting adventures with his allies, the BBs (who don’t remember what their initials actually stand for). Stamp’s hobby of digging for scrap connects him to the D-TAM terminal, which leads him to unexpected adventures. He is also looking for his missing daughter, with whom he lost contact after an argument. Stamp is stubborn, impatient, bad-tempered, and considered a heretic of the rabbit religion.

Urobuchi added that he is working on a mock-up of a game in Unity as a possible future plan. He was moved by a particular moment in the Starblade game, and he hopes he can do something like that. He did not confirm whether what he was working on was actually similar to Starblade or not.

The game will be released on September 24th on Playstation 5 and PC via steam. PS5 players who pre-order will get early access to the game on September 21st.

Stamp, a rabbit living on the planet abandoned by humanity, spends his days collecting junk and tinkering with machines. By an unfortunate coincidence, Stamp falls to the lower levels. There he finds D-TAM, a terminal for storing information. Using the D-TAM scattered around, he finds information about his missing daughter and a hidden truth about the world they live in. Thus begins his journey.

Gen Urobuchi (Fate zero, Madoka Magica) is responsible for the conceptual development and script of the game.
