Anya Taylor-Joy gives her fans an insight into her husband Malcolm McRay’s marriage proposal.
In a recent excerpt from an interview with the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Star posted on Instagram by mailbox, Taylor-Joy revealed the not-so-intended location where her now-husband McRae wanted to propose to her.
“My husband accidentally proposed to me using the Forrest Gump bench in Savannah,” the actress told her recent co-star and Marvel superhero Chris Hemsworth. “It was a complete coincidence, and he’s a boy from Alabama and I’m blonde – so it’s just, it just happened.”
Even though the location of the proposal was a coincidence, it was still very special for the actress. She admitted that she cries “like a baby” when she hears “that music” from the 1994 cult film.

Later, on April 9, while attending CinemaCon at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, the actress Entertainment tonight that she and her now husband had “done our research” to have the private ceremony in New Orleans.
“We were pretty spy-oriented,” she told the publication. “At the end of the day, it was about the two of us, so we ran away with our two best friends and had the most magical day ever.”
