“México” sets premiere date and announces presenters

Love is blind Mexico is coming and we finally have a date. Netflix has announced that the second Latin American spinoff of the popular reality TV series and the first in Spanish will premiere on August 1, 2024.

Previous spin-off editions of the show have taken place in Brazil, Japan and Sweden. A UK edition is expected later this year. The first four episodes of the fourth season of the Brazilian spin-off were just released on June 19. A new version of the show, filmed in the United Arab Emirates, titled Love is blind, Habibiwas also announced.

The Mexican version of the show is hosted by Omar and Lucy Chaparro. The couple, who have been together for more than two decades, are “a perfect example of love, affection and respect” and they will be there to “accompany the participants on this journey full of intense emotions to see if they can find the person who can completely move their hearts,” according to a press release from Netflix.

For those who don’t know the show: Love is blind is a reality TV show in which contestants meet without ever having seen each other and must decide to make the ultimate commitment – marriage, before they ever see each other for the first time. After that, the couple has four weeks to decide if the decision they made stands up to the pressures of the real world and if love really is blind.

In the US version there were some notable Latin American participants, such as Amythe only one who gets married in season 6 of the series, or Lydiaalso the only one to get married in season 5. Both are still happily married. And we must not forget Jackie from season 4one of the most controversial candidates in Love is blind‘s story after breaking up with her first dream player Marshall, only to get back together with Josh, who she broke up with in the pods.
