The 50-year-old is active on social media and regularly shares content. Her latest photos showcase her natural, elfin beauty.

The Norwegian singer and mother of two created one of the most famous sounds of the nineties with the worldwide hit “Barbie” and is still a sought-after artist.

In one of her videos, Lene is seen doing her hair and makeup for a photo shoot. She also talks about her image. She said: “Clothes give me strength. When I feel sexy, I feel strong. If it’s too girly… I feel sexier if it’s a bit rough.”

The flamboyant artist began her career as a teenage model before switching to a singing career and getting work on a Norwegian cruise ship.

During her performance on board, she was discovered by Danish music producer and DJ Rene Dif, who hired her as lead singer of the band Joyspeed, later renamed Aqua.

After its formation in Copenhagen in 1995, the band achieved worldwide success.

In the late 90s and early 2000s, her song “Barbie Girl” became a huge worldwide hit.

The band released three albums: Aquarium (1997), Aquarius (2000) and Meglomania (2011).

The group sold an estimated 33 million albums and singles, making them the most successful Danish band of all time.

After splitting up with Aqua, Nystrom continued as a solo artist and released her single “Pretty Young Thing” in 2004. She also wrote several songs for Girls Aloud, including their breakthrough hit “No Good Advice”.

Nystrøm was in a relationship for three years with her Aqua bandmate René Dif, who discovered her in 1994.

On August 25, 2001, Nystrøm married another of her bandmates, Søren Rasted. The ceremony took place in Las Vegas. In 2004, the couple moved from London to Denmark.

Together they have a daughter, India, and a son, Billy.

The couple divorced on April 27, 2017 after 16 years of marriage.
