From the icy north comes Canada’s Dreams harda melodic and enchanting world folk metal group that blends ethereal vocals, rich harmonies, intricate guitar and violin melodies, and a diverse rhythm section that captivates audiences from start to finish. As the band tours music festivals across British Columbia this summer (see below), they announce their latest single “Song in the Dark”which comes from their upcoming, as yet untitled EP. “Song in the Dark” is a melodic/progressive metal journey with a primitive tribal feel. The song is the story of the evolution of our species from our earliest awareness of self and awe of the universe around us to the brilliant, violent, destructive and arrogant beings we have become. The band comments on the track:

“Song in the Dark is the newest song on the EP. This song was a true band effort, with both David and Liam contributing ideas on the arrangement of the riffs and melodies. Our producer/engineer Jane Aurora of Arrival Sounds was also instrumental in shaping the overall sound and feel of the song. With Mary Ancheta’s phenomenal synthesized string soundscapes and funky licks, the song really came to life!”

Dreams hard Coming from the ashes of popular bands like Mamaguroove and Samson’s Delilah, their unique sound is drawn from a wealth of influences from metal, Latin, Celtic and other world music traditions.
