Veteran singer P Jayachandran’s family has put an end to the baseless rumours about his health that were doing the rounds on social media. Recently, a photo and a note suggesting that the famous singer was seriously ill and in the hospital went viral, creating concern among fans and the public. However, the singer’s family has clarified that these reports are completely false.

Speaking to Manorama Online, P Jayachandran’s family confirmed that although the singer has some age-related health issues, he is in good health overall. “He is fine. The photo shared now was taken one and a half months ago,” the family said.

P Jayachandran’s family added that the news about his health condition was also false and someone had spread false rumours on social media.

“He does have some age-related issues, but he is not as ill as rumors suggest,” the family said.

Meanwhile, songwriter Ravi Menon revealed to the media that P Jayachandran continues to be in touch with his close friends over the phone and is trying to overcome his illness with the help of music.

P Jayachandran, who celebrated his 80th birthday on March 3, remains a popular figure in the music industry and is known for his soulful voice and contribution to Indian music.
