Cross, the highly anticipated action thriller TV series based on James Patterson’s bestselling book series Alex Cross, has announced its premiere date. In May this year, Prime Video released a teaser trailer and announced that Cross will be getting another season as it was renewed for Season 2.

Prime Video has finally announced the release date for Cross, the upcoming action thriller series based on the bestselling novels by James Patterson. According to People Magazine, the series’ release date was announced during Essence Fest in New Orleans on July 6, 2024. They shared that all eight episodes of this latest series will be available to stream exclusively on the platform starting November 14 this year.

The outlet noted that Patterson serves as an executive producer on the series, which was created by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins, and that the upcoming thriller series will also be produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios.

According to a report from TV Line, Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, was excited about the project, saying that it was “a dream come true to bring one of James Patterson’s most famous literary characters to life for our Prime Video customers worldwide.” He went on to say that they can’t wait for everyone to see Aldis Hodges’ impressive performance.

Additionally, Prime Video recently delighted fans with a new poster featuring Aldis Hodge as his character Alex Cross. The streaming site shared the post on X (Twitter) today and confirmed the release date with the caption, “Pssst. He’s doing his thing. #CrossOnPrime is out November 14th.”

The upcoming Prime Video crime series “Cross” is about Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), who is described by the streamer as “a detective and forensic psychologist with the unique ability to penetrate the psyche of murderers and their victims in order to identify – and ultimately catch – the killers.”

Last month, author James Patterson, 77, appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast and praised the latest series Cross. He described the Hodge-starring series as the first, which he felt was “edgier” and “more realistic in terms of police work”, adding that he “really liked the way it turned out”.

In addition to Aldis Hodge, the series also stars other talented actors, including Isaiah Mustafa, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford and Ryan Eggold.
