About the speaker:

Joe Sonderman has been a radio host and traffic reporter for nearly 40 years. He was born and raised in St. Louis. He is considered an expert on Route 66 and has written more than 15 books about the legendary highway, including Route 66 in Missouri and Route 66 in St. Louis. His other books include St. Louis: The 1904 World’s Fair and St. Louis: Bridges, Highways, and Roads. He maintains an online archive of historic Route 66 postcards and images at 66postcards.com. And when he’s not writing about the roads of yesterday or keeping an eye on the highways of today, he can often be found behind the wheel of his pride and joy, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.
