According to Michigan Lottery, while annual complaints affect only a tiny percentage of the agency’s 10,500 retailers, all are taken seriously and investigated.

A 92-year-old Lansing man was recently so determined to win a rising Fast Cash jackpot that he stopped at two different stores on the same day to buy tickets — until he finally won.
He bought two tickets at the first store he visited, but left without winning the jackpot, worth $434,105, according to the Michigan Lottery.
“I had my eye on the Fast Cash game after I saw the jackpot keep going up,” he told the Michigan Lottery. “I went into a store and said, ‘I’m trying to win that jackpot!'”
Later that day, he visited a second store — a Sunoco gas station at 645 Migaldi Lane in Lansing — and purchased two more tickets.
“I won $50 on one and the other matched number 59 with the jackpot underneath. I knew what I was looking at, but I scanned the ticket to make sure,” he said. “Then when I got a message telling me to claim at the lottery office, I knew I had really won the jackpot!”
