Fans of Assassin’s Creed Shadows can win the chance to voice an NPC in the game

Ubisoft is holding a special competition where some lucky fans will have the chance to play an NPC in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadow. The newest Assassin’s Creed Game finally brings the series to ancient Japan for an open-world samurai adventure with two unique playable characters. The first is Naoe, a female shinobi who uses traditional Assassin’s Creed Stealth gameplay to avenge the murder of her family. Meanwhile, real-life historical figure Yasuke will be the second playable character in Assassin’s Creed Shadowencouraging players to take a more direct approach by starting the fight more directly.

Enthusiastic players have many Assassin’s Creed Shadow in recent months, with the Ubisoft Forward 2024 livestream in June offering a more in-depth look at the upcoming title’s gameplay. Assassin’s Creed Shadow introduces new and improved gameplay mechanics, such as fragile enemy armor that exposes the opponent’s weak points during a prolonged sword fight, a more strategic parry system, and shadow-based stealth that allows both Naoe and Yasuke to slip past their enemies and more easily deliver the finishing blow.

There is a lot to look forward to in Assassin’s Creed Shadowand a handful of players will win the chance to play in the game themselves. Ubisoft recently announced the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Dubbing Challenge, a competition taking place on TikTok from June 18 to July 2, where users can submit videos of themselves dubbing scripted voice lines to the designated Assassin’s Creed TikTok account in their region. There will be seven winners in total, each of whom will voice the character in either English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish (Castilian) or Brazilian Portuguese.

The lucky winners of this new competition will be able to participate in a voice recording session to record their lines for Assassin’s Creed Shadowwhere they went through the recording process with professionals like Danny Wallace, the voice actor of Assassin’s Creed Mainstay Shaun Hastings. According to the official rules of the competition, winners will be determined based solely on their performance, with Ubisoft clarifying that the number of likes and comments on a particular post will not play a role in the selection.

Ubisoft has not announced when the recording session for the winners of the Assassin’s Creed Shadow Dubbing Challenge will take place, but since the game itself is set to be released on November 12th, it is safe to assume that it will not be long before the competition is over. The Assassin’s Creed The series has always immersed players in worlds inspired by true history, and some lucky fans will be able to join the legendary series and get a special behind-the-scenes look at how the game’s characters are brought to life.
