Registration will remain open until the end of Level 7, meaning players can still buy in on Day 1D or during the first two levels of play on Day 2ABC or Day 2D. So late registration is available until Monday, July 8 at approximately 4:40 p.m.
The record number of participants in this tournament is 10,043 and was set last year after WSOP specifically aims to surpass the 8,773 mark set in 2006 when Jamie Gold won the championship bracelet and a top prize of $12,000,000. The 2023 WSOP In the Main Event, Daniel Weinman walked away with the title and $12,100,000, securing the largest payout in Main Event history while also winning his second career bracelet.
Unofficially, there were 4,275 entries in the first three launch flights this year, with 916 on Day 1A, 831 on Day 1B and 2,528 on Day 1C. At the time of this article’s publication, Day 1D had already attracted more than 4,750 participants, bringing the total to over 9,000 participants. The record for the number of participants in a single launch flight is 4,879, set in 2019 on Day 1C.
With $9,300 of each buy-in going into the prize pool, it is (unofficially) approaching the $84 million mark, and that number is expected to rise significantly as late registration is still open for quite a while.
