Emma Roberts admits she lost jobs because of her famous relatives

Emma Roberts has “lost jobs” because of her famous family members.
The 33-year-old actress is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and the niece of Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts, but she claims her family connections in the industry have not always given her the opportunities some might expect.
She told Flaunt: “I’ve lost more jobs than I’ve gained because of being in the industry. People have opinions and sometimes they may not be good opinions about people in the family. I’ve never gotten a job because of it, but I know I’ve definitely lost a few jobs because of it.”
The “Scream Queens” star, who began his career as a child actress on Nickelodeon before appearing in teen comedies such as “Wild Child,” now has a three-year-old son, Rhodes, with actor Garrett Hedlund. After the split, however, he decided to stop dating people who are in the same business.
She said: “One day the veil was lifted and I didn’t want to date actors anymore. I think it’s hard for two actors to be together. I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever seen it work successfully. Also, the actors I’ve been with border on method actors and that’s something I think is extremely difficult to have a relationship with – at least for me, especially with the characters they were playing.”
The “American Horror Story” actress also admitted that despite her early entry into show business, she was able to “hold on to a certain innocence longer” than perhaps her industry colleagues could.
She said: “I feel like in some ways I’ve been able to hold on to my innocence longer (than usual). I know everyone has a different opinion about how (modern) celebrities or people should be online and how serious they should be. My social media is for fun, for reading, for fashion, but if you really want to dig deep into me or know what I think about things, you’re not going to see that posted on my social media.”
