Crunchyroll streams the 7th season of the anime “Natsume’s Book of Friends” – News

Crunchyroll announced during his panel at Anime exhibition on Saturday that it will stream Natsume Yujin-Chō Shichithe seventh season of the anime franchise related to Yuki Midorikawa‘S Natsume’s Book of Friends (Natsume Yujin-Chō) Manga, in fall 2024.

Takahiro Omori returns as Chief Executive Officer SchukaAnd Hideki Ito returns from the last two films to direct the new season. Sadayuki Murai returns to oversee the series’ scripts. Akira Takata returns as character designer and Makoto Yoshimori returns to compose the music. NAS produces the anime.

The anime celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.

Yuki Midorikawa‘S Natsume’s Book of Friends (Natsume Yujin-Chō) Manga debuted in Hakusensha‘S LaLa DX Magazine in June 2003, but ran in LaLa since 2007. Viz Media publishes the ongoing series in English.

The anime seasons and Midorikawa’s original manga revolve around Natsume, a boy who can see Yōkai since he was little. Unfortunately, people avoid him and there is not much affection between him and the Yōkai. One day he inherits a Yūjin-Chō (“Book of Friends”) from his grandmother. The book is actually full of contracts that his grandmother made to capture Yōkai. As one Yōkai after another appears, Natsume tries to free them or help them – even though many of them want revenge on him.

The sixth season of the anime premiered in April 2017. The series consisted of 11 episodes and two OVAs. Crunchyroll streamed the series while it was airing.

The Natsume Yujin-cho the film: Ephemeral Bond The film premiered in September 2018. Aniplex of America has released the film on Blu-ray Disc. Aniplex of America showed the film in Anime NYC Convention in November 2018. The anime tells an original story.

The Natsume’s Book of Friends: The Stone Waker and the Strange Visitor The film arrived in Japan in January 2021. Funimation streamed the movie.
