I was deeply shocked by this news. Khyree brought a contagious energy to our facility and team. His confidence and engaging personality immediately drew his teammates. In our short time together, it was clear that Khyree would develop into a great professional football player, but even more impressive was his desire to become the best person he could be for his family and those around him. I am at a loss for words. My condolences go out to Khyree’s family, friends, teammates and coaches.Head Coach Kevin O’Connell

The loss of Khyree breaks my heart. When we got to know him leading up to the draft, it was clear what goals Khyree wanted to achieve both professionally and personally. His story was one of resilience. He took steps to become the best version of himself, not only for himself, but for those who cared about him and looked up to him. Khyree’s personality captured every room he was in. I am devastated that his life and everything he had ahead of him was cut so short. My thoughts are with Khyree’s family and friends, those who played with him in college and coached him, and his teammates and coaches here at the Vikings.Managing Director Kwesi Adofo-Mensah
