This afternoon the probability of spray and spray thunderstorms is back – Chris

Happy Saturday everyone! The weekend is off to a wonderful start with sunshine and pleasant temperatures across the state. In fact, most places are a few degrees warmer today than yesterday. Rain chances will continue throughout the weekend and will continue to be sporadic in nature. It should stay dry through the early afternoon, but showers and thunderstorms should develop in western and central Minnesota by the evening, then reach the I-35 corridor during the overnight hours. Highs will be between 77 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

On Sunday, our weekend weather pattern is similar… we’re still mostly playing splash and splash! Highs will also return to above 25 degrees. The unsettled pattern continues on Monday, but drier and warmer days could return by Tuesday and Wednesday. Late next week, the sun returns, and temperatures move closer to average, between 27 and 29 degrees. A slow warming trend continues through late next week, and highs could flirt with 32 degrees by the end of next week.

Enjoy the holiday weekend!
