New additions to Saving Country Music’s current Top 25 playlist (#142)

The Saving Country Music Top 25 playlist was created to let you know about the best songs and albums coming out in country and roots music right now. It’s available in almost all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist and album recommendations to find something new to listen to. New songs just added.

New additions:

Silverada – “Eagle rare” – Exploring new soundscapes to keep things interesting while still staying true to the original sound and influences results in this very entertaining track from the new self-titled Silverado Record out now. Perhaps no one knows better how to incorporate the obscure names of liquor brands into songs.

Morgan Wade – “From Moth to Light” – When Morgan Wade first came along, we were also really excited that she could become the female version of Tyler Childers. That’s not how her career has panned out. But “Moth to a Flame” shows the Appalachian songwriter side of her influences and is perhaps one of her best songs to date.

Liv Greene – “Depth sensor” – It’s Liv Greene’s voice that draws you in immediately. It’s the lyrics and steel guitar that grab you. Although more at home in folk/Americana, many of Liv Greene’s songs have a country heart. We look forward to hearing more when the album “Deep Feeler” is released on October 18th.

Zach Bryan“ – “28” – It is Zach Bryan’s confidence in navigating the seasons of life that gives his songs such immediacy, and he is able to express his thoughts and experiences so poetically that you feel like you have experienced those moments yourself.

Tris Munsick – “Big Medicine Moon” – The Munsick brothers are committed to saving western music, and Tris is now the third of them to be featured on Saving Country Music. Much like his brother Sam, Tris Munsick strives to hold on to the traditions of old country and western in new and inspired songs.

American Aquarium – “Messy like a magnolia” – It is personal growth and deep insights that have so often characterized American Aquarium’s songs, at least in recent years. Inspired by a trash tree outside his office window, BJ Barham turns it into an illustration of his own life.
