The Secret Lair Summer 2024 Superdrop is one of many Secret Lairs for Magic: The Gathering. This particular drop contains only reprints, not original cards. For the most part, they are simply cards with new art, but a few cards are given new names as reskinned cards of already existing cards.

Magic: The Gathering – The 10 best secret hiding places of all time
There are over a hundred Secret Lairs and more are being added all the time. Which are the best of the best?
The value of Secret Lairs in the Summer 2024 Superdrop varies. While in some cases the value of the cards included in a drop is lower than if you bought the cards normally, in many other cases the Secret Lair print is often the most expensive version of the card due to its exclusivity.
The value of each Secret Lair is determined by the cheapest market price for the card listed on TCGPlayer.com.
6 Secret Lair X Hatsune Miku: Digital Sensation: $12.29 (foil) // $8.04 (non-foil)
Cards included |
|
---|---|
Devilish Tutor |
Chord of calling |
Miku, Child of Song (Child of Alara) |
Song of Creation |
Sun Ring |
Theater stage |
Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Digital Sensation is the second drop in the Hatsune Miku collaboration that comes out every season. Unfortunately, it is by far the weakest of the bunch in terms of value. Both the non-foiled and foiled versions cost more than if you were to buy the regular versions of the cards. However, due to Hatsune Miku’s popularity, it’s likely that these prints will more than make up for the value on the secondary market.
All of the cards included in this Secret Lair are very playable. Chord of Calling, Sol Ring, and Thespian’s Stage all play in multiple formats. The other cards are perfectly playable as well, and if you’ve always wanted Hatsune Miku as your commander, you now can with the five-color Miku, Child of Song. Diabolic Tutor is also an excellent tutor, although it’s a bit weaker, any tutor is better than none.
5 Secret Lair X Assassin’s Creed: Da Vinci’s Designs: $40.18 (foil) // $22.09 (non-foil)
Cards included |
|
---|---|
Blade of Selves |
Conqueror’s Flail |
Dark steel plate |
Deathbringer |
Whispersilk cloak |
haystack |
With the exception of the bonus card Haystack, Secret Lair x Assassin’s Creed: Da Vinci’s designs only include equipment spells. On the non-foil side, it’s actually the most valuable drop of the set, but since the foil versions had accessible reprints, it’s one of the lowest when it comes to foil versions.

Magic: The Gathering – The 10 best lands from Secret Lair
Lands are the fuel for your Magic: The Gathering deck, so why not make them look extra fancy with Secret Lair?
All of the Equipment cards included are solid cards that all pack a big punch once placed on a creature. They provide protection and powerful keyword abilities that make them threats when attacking as well as blocking. Notably, all of the cards included in this Secret Lair, with the exception of Haystack, can be played in a Leonardo da Vinci Commander deck (from the Assassin’s Creed Universes Beyond set) and work well as part of that deck.
4 With: No Wolf: $44.01 (foil) // $19.53 (non-foil)
Cards included |
|
---|---|
Avabruck Caretaker // Hollowhenge Huntsman |
Beastmaster Ascension |
Howl of the Night Package |
Second harvest |
NO WOLF (Tovolar, terrible overlord) // KING OF WOLVES (Tovolar, the midnight scourge) |
|
Everwolf |
Featuring: Not A Wolf is inspired by a novel of the same name where a wolf pretends to be human. As such, the entire Secret Lair is built around wolves and all cards can be used in a single deck, with NOT A WOLF being able to be used as a commander for the cards purchased. Many of the foil reprints are the first time they have been reprinted in years, making the value of the foil version quite high.
Werewolves are a very popular strategy for many Commander players and add extra value to the drop as they are all great cards for a Werewolf Commander deck. All of the cards are playable in multiple formats at a casual level, making it one of the best drops to tie a theme together.
3 Prints Of Darkness: $49.59 (foil) // $13.11 (non-foil)
Cards included |
|
---|---|
Dictate of Erebus |
fertility |
Chaos Devil |
Moldervine recovery |
Prossh, Sky Raider of Kher |
Prints of Darkness is another Secret Lair drop that only contains playable cards for the commander it contains. In this case, it’s Prossh, Skyraider of Kher, which is all about creature sacrifice, which benefits every card in the drop. Because the foil versions of many cards are so rare, the value of the foil version of this drop increases. In the case of Dictate of Erebos, it’s the first non-list reprint that accounts for most of the non-foil value.

Your opponents can breathe. They can blink. They can cry. Hell, they’ll probably do all of that with MTG’s Walking Dead cards.
Although Prints of Darkness only contains five cards, they are all very powerful and will see play in multiple decks, primarily Commander decks. Even if you don’t use them in Prossh itself, they are very playable under various Commanders.
2 With: Julie Bell: $54.93 (foil) // $18.15 (non-foil)
Cards included |
|
---|---|
Soul Guardian |
Shivan Dragon |
Elves of the Deep Shadow |
Lucky Unicorn |
coat of arms |
Featuring: Julie Bell, as the name suggests, exclusively features artwork from the titular artist. Julie Bell has never done artwork for Magic before, and this drop is both visually stunning and valuable as non-foil prints go. The cards are both powerful and popular, with many of the foils being reprinted in foil for the first time in years. Without the foiling, Coat of Arms is the only card that has much value.
All of the cards included have solid power and, with the exception of Shivan Dragon, all see play in multiple decks. Coat of Arms is the best of the bunch and is best played in decks where all creatures are the same type.
1 Secret Lair X Assassin’s Creed: Lethal Legends: $61.02 (foil) // $21.85 (non-foil)
Cards included |
|
---|---|
Eivor, Champion of the Raven Clan (Najeela, the Blade Blossom) |
Altair, Mentor of the Brotherhood (Kelsien, the Plague) |
Amunet, Tyrant End (Queen Marchesa) |
Basim, Master Assassin (Ramses, Assassin Lord) |
Edward, Jackdaw Captain (Admiral Beckett Brass) |
Secret Lair x Assassin’s Creed: Lethal Legends is a Secret Lair drop that puts an Assassin’s Creed-themed paint job on existing cards. While they all have unique names, they’re still just redesigns of pre-existing cards and not mechanically unique cards (though many of the characters featured here have cards in the actual Assassin’s Creed set). The majority of the value comes from Najeela, whose only regular foil print is worth a ton.
All of the cards included are fairly popular Commanders and also popular Assassin’s Creed characters, two traits that increase value. Najeela is particularly relevant as she is a very popular cEDH Commander, while the rest are often used in more casual Commander games.
