Story uses socks as a metaphor to explore themes such as love and acceptance between people of different styles, sizes and colors

– Russ Troutt, a new voice in children’s literature, has launched his first book: “People are a lot like Socks!” Published by Troutt Publishing, the book features illustrations by Nathan Thomas Milliner. The story uses socks as a metaphor to explore themes such as love and acceptance between people of different styles, sizes and colors.

“I am so excited to introduce ‘People Are A LOT Like Socks!’ to young readers everywhere,” said author Russ Troutt. “I hope this book spreads smiles and love and encourages children to appreciate the uniqueness in themselves and others.”

Russ Troutt, originally from Southeast Tennessee and now living in Morro Bay, draws on a passion for storytelling that was developed during his time in the United States Navy.

The book can be purchased online at www.trouttpublishing.com and in select bookstores nationwide.
